Tai Chi Class

Instructor:  Ray Korda, Saturdays,   September 1-29, (5 week session), 10:00 am to 10:45 am.

Next session:  October 20 to November 24, (6 week session).

Cost per class:  $6.00 for Members, $11.00 for Non-Members (includes $5 day fee).

Tai Chi is an ancient Chinese system of exercise/meditation which increases lung capacity, circulation, and greatly improves balance.  This class is low impact and excellent for all ages.  Comfortable shoes and clothing are all that is required.

About the instructor:  Raymond has over 40 years of Martial Arts experience with an 8th degree black belt in Kenpo Karate.  He studied and taught Tai Chi in the Chicago area for over 30 years, after training with Chinese and American masters Waysun Liao, Dang Sheng Shang and James Tarabilda.  Ray made an instructional video for Women’s Self-Defense which was recommended by the American Library Association; as well as a cable TV series, “In Defense of Yourself”, with Master John McSweeny, which became internationally distributed videotapes. He was inducted into the Kenpo Karate Hall of Fame.  Raymond is also First Aid & CPR Certified.
